Botany Bay Plantation, located south of Charleston, South Carolina was the site of the original commercial salt works that began in 1724. Almost 300 years later, a modern salt works began producing artisan sea salt very close to the original site. Today's operation draws its sea water from the pristine area of Botany Bay, filters it and begins an evaporation process. The result is an ultra high quality, all natural sea salt.
