Southern Blackberry syrup flavor mix from Savannah Flavoring Company. Adds the smell and sweet taste of fresh, ripe blackberries to recipes. A 25 oz bottle from Mixon and Wiggins, contains no juice.


Sparkling Blackberry Soda


  • ¾ cup ice
  • 8 oz. soda water
  • 1 ½ oz. Southern Blackberry Mix

 Directions:  Fill glass 3/4 full with ice.  Add soda water and Southern Blackberry Mix.

Savannah Sippin' Tea


  • 8 tea bags
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 64 oz. bottle apple juice
  • 1 cup Southern Blackberry Mix

Directions:  Brew tea and let steep about 5 minutes.  Remove tea bags.  Add apple juice and Southern Blackberry Mix.  Chill and serve.

Blackberry Cream Dressing


  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 3 oz cream cheese
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ½ cup Southern Blackberry Mix

Directions:  Process in food processor the mayonnaise, the cream cheese, the sour cream, and the Southern Blackberry Mix until smooth.

Summery Blackberry Lemon Cream Cake


  • 1 Lemon Cake Mix
  • ½ cup Southern Blackberry Mix
  • 1 8oz package softened cream cheese
  • 1 can condensed sweetened milk
  • 1 cup Southern Blackberry Mix
  • 1 8 oz. package thawed whipped topping
  • Fresh raspberries
  • Lemon zest to garnish

Directions:  Bake a lemon cake mix in a 9 x 13 pan according to package directions.  While the cake is still warm, poke holes in the top with the handle of a wooden spoon or a large fork.  Sprinkle on top of the cake the Southern Blackberry Mix.  Let the cake cool.  Blend well together the softened cream cheese, the condensed sweetened milk and the Southern Blackberry Mix.  Ice the top of the cooled cake with the above mixture.  Spread on top of the mixture the thawed Cool Whip.  Garnish the top of the cake with fresh blackberries and curls of lemon zest.  Refrigerate for 4 hours before serving.
