Old Fashioned Hickory Smoked Country Ham Biscuit Slices made by Broadbent's. Dry rubbed, aged and smoked in much the same way since 1909. An 8 oz package with 6-8 ham slices sized for biscuits. This product is shelf stable and is shipped in an unrefrigerated state. We recommend placing product in the refrigerator or freezer if not used within two weeks of receipt.
Cured with Salt, Sugar, Dry Honey and Sodium Nitrate
Preparation: In a cast iron skillet or heavy bottomed pan, heat over medium heat. When pan is hot, add ham slices and cook about 3 minutes per side. Remove from heat and serve hot with biscuits. Serving suggestion: Try adding two tablespoons of honey to the pan prior to cooking. Use the drippings to make "Red Eye" gravy. To reduce salt in ham, prior to cooking soak ham in cold water for 5-10 minutes and dry with paper towel, then cook.
