Charleston's Own Southern Style Skillet Cornbread Mix

Classic Southern style Skillet Cornbread Mix. Made with local stoneground yellow cornmeal. Combine mix with milk, stir and pour into a well greased 8-10" cast iron skillet or baking pan and bake. Can also be used to make cornbread muffins. Bake until golden brown and serve hot with butter and local honey. A 16 oz package makes one pan of cornbread.

Cornbread is normally found on many a southern table at meal times. Its a versatile item that can served for breakfast, lunch or dinner as "cornbread" out of a pan, a muffin or as a stick. Left over cornbread is frequently added to other dishes.
